On the evening of 29 Nov., the UoM China Centre invited Scott Roberts, Vice President Human Resources Asia Pacific, Fashion Luxury Diversity & Inclusion Leader, to join a panel with Simon Zhou, alumnus of the Manchester Global MBA, HR Subject Matter Expert, Enfovia DDI UK Target Selection Certified Trainer, and Linlin Zhang -- Alumna of the Manchester Global MBA, Head of Human Resources at Visteon China to share stories behind their career growth and ideas about D&I at the workplace.

On 16th November, UoM China Centre joined hands with Linked-F to invite outstanding Manchester GMBA alumna Ms. Lee Lee Tan，Head of China SBA Stone Forest, and senior financial management elite Mr. Dalong Xiang ，ex-CFO of Donaldson APAC, FCMA, CGMAto talk about their career transformation.

On the afternoon of 29th Oct. 2022, The University of Manchester China Centre hosted an interactive afternon tea session to help perspective student explore Global Part-time MBA programme, attracted more than 20 senior working professionals with multi-national and cross-industrial background. Ms. Tracy Xu, current student of GMBA Jan. 2022 intake, and Ms. Nana Gong, alumna of GMBA Jan. 2021 intake, joined the session online and offline to share their study experience and practical tips. 

On 16th October, 2022, the first PwC You Plus Achiever ESG Challenge Campaign was successfully held in Shanghai PwC Innovation Center. The event has attracted nearly 100 groups of students from more than 120 schools in 36 cities around the world. Ms. Sherry Fu, Founding Director of the University of Manchester China Centre, attended the event as the judge of the final round of the challenge evaluation.

On 14th October, 2022, the 5th Annual Linked-F Finance Elite Summit (FES) was held at JW Marriott Hotel Shanghai at Tomorrow Square and also streamed live online. The University of Manchester China Centre was invited as an academic support partner to help financial elites lead changes and promote industry development.

The summit attracted nearly 200 financial elites and leaders from various industries to have a heated discussion on the theme of " Deconstructing Change, Enlightening Future". The discussion focused on new trends in business and technology, and explored the integration of organization, technology, and talents in an uncertain business environment.

In the afternoon of Saturday 24 September, Ms. Sherry Fu, Founding director of The University of Manchester China Centre, and a GMBA alumnus Mr. Robert Young, Assistant to President & General Manager of Operation of Lingnan Group, joined a panel discussion on Educational Leadership in Guangzhou with three current students of UoM MA Educational Leadership inPractice Course: Mr. Imran Ali-Farzal, Executive International Headmaster & International Headmaster of High School of Huanggang Middle School Education Group Guangzhou, Mr. Daniel Xuan, Principal of Centro Education International, and Mr. Colby Hazouri, Vice President of Blue Valley Education Group. The event attracted Principals, head of HR, and teachers from multiple international schools and education groups.

This week, The University of Manchester (UoM) China Centre has welcomed the region’s new cohort of students onto the MSc Financial Management. Students from different cities across China joined this blended-learning course, which they will complete on a part-time basis over the next two years with workshops in Shanghai.

The part-time and flexible study format has encouraged a dives range of student to apply from a wide range of regions with different motivations to study.

In the evening of 2nd September, The University of Manchester China Centre hosted an Info Session to announce the latest entry requirement and scholarship scheme for the Manchester Global Part-time MBA Jan 2023 intake.

During the event, our Global MBA alumnus, Country Manager of EF Kids and Teens Franchise -- Michael Mu joined to his MBA experiences and discuss the programme's impact on his career transformation while sharing his motivation for choosing this programme.
