On the 7thof May 2014, the 2014 British Business Awards was launched at the British Ambassador's residence in Beijing. Sherry Fu, Manchester Business School China Regional Director attended the Launch Ceremony.
On the 23rd of April 2014, MBS Chief External Officer Dil Sidhu presented “Authentic Leadership: Why should anyone be led by you” to British Chamber of Commerce members in Shanghai. The event was organised by the British Chamber and was kindly sponsored by KPMG China
On the 28th of April, MBS China Centre organised an information session at Shanghai Centre. Mr Nigel Banister (Chief Global Officer of MBS), Sherry Fu ( MBS China Director) and Sophie Song (MBS intake 2013) presented the event.
On the 3rd of June, Angelina Jolie promoted her hit film Maleficient in Shanghai. However, Angelina’s birthday happened to be on the 3rd of June and thus the organiser sent her a birthday cake at the press conference. This cake was made by Global MBA student Jenfay Yang and her team. Jenfay started her business, Easyliving, with her partner during the study at MBS China Centre.
The 2014 “Siemens Cup” China MBA Healthcare Industry Business Innovation Competition was held in CEIBS on 14 April. Business schools from all over China showed great interest in this event. There were a total of 38 teams that have registered and actively participated in the competition.
This Spring MBS’ Global MBA students organised a group to join the 2014 Asia-Pacific MBA Desert Challenge, which was scheduled to take place in the Tegger Desert from the 30th of April till the 3rd of May, 2014. The group spent three days running 70km in the desert!
In May, a long awaited MBS China TMT (Telecommunications, Media and Technology) Club has been established by an active group of current Global MBA student at Shanghai Centre!
