Director's Message
|
As the Easter holiday is approaching, we’ve spent an unforgettable quarter in 2022.
This spring, the pandemic has again become a keyword in our daily life due to recent new outbreak of Covid-19 in China. Despite of the difficult time, UoM China Centre has been endeavored to provide series of inspiring online activities for our alumni, students and the public. From senior experts’ industrial insights sessions to alumni sharing on spotlight topics such as carbon neutrality, we are making our utmost effort to exceed the physical barriers and provide a platform for cutting-edge knowledge exchange for working professionals in the community.
Apart from the unforgettable experience of “re-lockdown”, this year is still remarkable for the University and the China Centre, as we are celebrating the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and the UK.
To echo this historical milestone, UoM China Centre has initiated a series of people-to-people diplomatic events, including 2022 International Photography Competition, “Beautiful World” Photography Exhibition and the first China UK Forum with SORSA.
No barriers, no boundaries. While we are dedicated for a full recovery from pandemic, we are extraordinarily proud that our students and alumni have already been benefited from the University’s well-established online-blended learning ecology against the uncertain time.
Stay safe and look after yourself both physically and mentally and those that you love. I look forward to seeing you at China Centre in the near future once our life resume normal again.
Sherry Fu
