Employee Engagement ESG Campaign Award

This award recognises organisations in China that have demonstrated excellence in engaging their employees on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issues. The award celebrates companies that have developed effective and innovative approaches to involving their employees in ESG initiatives and that have demonstrated a strong commitment to employee well-being, inclusion, and diversity.

This award is open to any organisation that has completed an ESG Employee engagement campaign within the past 18 months.

Our judges will be looking for

  1. Employee Engagement: The judges will seek evidence of the organisation’s efforts to engage its employees on ESG issues. The applicant should be able to demonstrate how they have involved employees in sustainability initiatives, such as through employee-led sustainability teams or other programs.
  2. Diversity and Inclusion: The judges will seek evidence of the organisation’s commitment to diversity and inclusion in its ESG engagement efforts. The applicant should be able to demonstrate how they have engaged employees from diverse backgrounds and cultures, and how they have supported employee well-being and mental health.
  3. Innovation: The judges will look for evidence of the organisation’s innovative approaches to ESG employee engagement. The applicant should be able to demonstrate how they have developed new and creative ways to involve employees in sustainability initiatives, and how they have leveraged technology and social media to engage employees.
  4. Measurable Impact: The judges will look for evidence of the impact of the organisation’s ESG employee engagement efforts. The applicant should be able to demonstrate how their engagement initiatives have contributed to positive ESG outcomes, such as reducing energy use, improving employee retention, or enhancing community relations.
  5. Transparency: The judges will seek evidence of the organisation’s transparency in communicating its ESG employee engagement efforts. The applicant should be able to demonstrate how they have communicated their ESG engagement initiatives to employees and other stakeholders, and how they have tracked and reported on progress.

Note: A good application shall demonstrate activities in China; presentation of strategies, objectives and mechanisms; data and strong evidence to show the impact; leadership and forward-thinking.

Who can enter?

The ESG China Awards are open to all companies and organisations (Chinese and international businesses) operating in China. You DON’T need to be a member of a chamber to apply.

For ESG Strategic Development Award, there are two sub-categories which encourage SMEs and Corporates* to enter.

*Size Definition:

  • SME: less than 250 Employees
  • Corporate: 250+ Employees

The Future ESG Leader Award is an Individual category.

Do I need to pay to enter the Awards?

There is no charge to apply for the awards.

How can I enter the Awards?

The ESG China Awards accept online entries only. Click on the “Enter the Awards” button on the ESG China Awards website (www.ESGChinaAwards.com), register an account, complete company profile and then you can select the category you wish to enter and complete the online application form.The applicant can save the application as a draft until he/she is happy with the answers. Once submitted as final, the application cannot be altered. The closing date for submissions is 25 August 2023.

Can I enter more than one award category?

Yes.
