UoM never ceases to lead the UN's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). We were ranked 2nd in the world and top one in Europe this year, by the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings. The UN's 17 SDGs are the world's call to action on the most pressing challenges and opportunities facing humanity and the natural world.

Established in 2008, as one of the first UK universities to open a dedicated Executive Centre in Shanghai, UoM China Centre’s social responsibility activities echo the University’s core goals. This year, our low-carbon office is in operation. In the process of creating a low-carbon office, we have implemented a series of low-carbon technologies such as energy-efficient lighting, carbon consulting, carbon emissions accounting, digital transformation, low-carbon advocacy, carbon reduction transformation, and carbon data governance. The low-carbon office marks another milestone in China Centre's

eco-friendly practices, and also conveys practical ESG concepts to the public.
