From 7th July to 8th Jan., the welcome event for Manchester Global Part-time MBA January 2020 new students was successfully held at the University of Manchester China Centre. 64 outstanding working professionals officially entered the University of Manchester. They are ready to embark on their career transformation in the global platform.
Ms. Sherry Fu, Director of the University of Manchester China Centre, Dr. Jiyao Xun, Associate MBA Director AMBS, Senior Programme Administrator Ms. Maria Serra and China Centre Student Support Team attended the induction and witnessed the new students embarking on their transformational learning journey, which will equip them with global perspectives to become future business leaders.
The new students are from various backgrounds including pharmaceutical, FMCG, manufacturing, law, finance, media management consulting and other business areas, with working experience of 6-24 years in large well-known companies, i.e. EF, AstraZeneca, Kimberley, Johnson & Johnson, SABIC, Pfizer, Fosun, New Oriental, Michelin, Michael Page, L’OREAL, Citi bank, Continental and etc. These industry leaders are from different countries and regions such as China Mainland, Taiwan, United Kingdon, Italy, Canada and Pakistan. For those who are from China Mainland come from more than 10 different cities such as Beijing, Chongqing, Wuxi, Suzhou, Wuhan, Nanjing, Jiaxing and Hangzhou. With profound industrial background, rich management experience and international composition, it will undoubtedly bring cross-cultural integration and inspire more innovation in the future.
Before the welcome event started, our new students took pictures at China Centre so as to the record the new chapter in their lives. At the same time, some of our new students shared their expectations and goals for the next two years in front of the camera – facing the rapidly changing business and social environment, they hope to make progress together with fellows, to explore the world, and meet unlimited opportunities.
