Director's Welcome
|
Following an unforgettable 2020, this year starts with complexity and uncertainty. However, we are very pleased to see that the pandemic has been effectively controlled with the advent of spring and the unremitting efforts of people all around the world.
In February, two cutting-edge online / blended-learning master's courses set sail in China Centre this spring. China Centre welcomed its first cohorts from our MSc International Fashion Marketing and MA Educational Leadership in Practice, featuring spectacular field trips & conferences respectively.
As Earth Day has just passed, I am extremely proud to share a piece of inspiring news: The University of Manchester has been ranked 1st globally in THE 2021 World University Impact Rankings! We topped the table of more than 1,200 universities from around the world on action taken towards the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
Social responsibility has always been one of the key strategic goals of The University of Manchester. To implement this goal, over the last two months, our Centre launched a series of CSR events that focused on dynamic and cutting-edge social topics, such as carbon neutralization, environmental protection, medical care, and intangible cultural heritage.
Moreover, QS just released the 2021 World's Best Online MBA Ranking on 21st April. Alliance Manchester Business School Online MBA continued to lead the world, ranking 5th globally.
As a Chinese proverb goes, "The plan for a year lies in the spring; a life of success lies in diligence". During the upcoming International Labour Day, The University of Manchester China Centre wishes all friends who are dedicated at work a happy holiday and fruitful life!
Sherry Fu
China Centre Director
