Business schools have always been leaders in promoting society transformation and business and social innovation, which thanks to our close ties with industry and other institutions, our socially influential research results, and our rich experience in educating future leaders. In 2020, we need to work closer to meet the challenges brought by covid-19. In this difficult period, business schools should take proactive measures, establish partnerships and collaboration. We should be the beacon of hope and optimism to set an example for others.

After the outbreak of coronavirus, led by the Alliance Manchester Business School, The University of Manchester and relevant departments and organizations in the UK and around the world have formulated a series of economic recovery policy plans. In depth investigation and research are carried out from different perspectives, such as organizational behavior, social economy, public health system, labor policy, science and technology and finance, and the research results are transmitted to another 4000 cities around the world through the international partnership with global resilience cities network (grcn), so that more people can think about how to deal with the epidemic challenge.

With 12 years of development,   The University of Manchester China Centre has established the future mode of   learning. Our Manchester Global MBA students do not study at a fixed campus   but fly to different learning centres across the world.

Business schools should have social responsibility to   share development. Currently, business schools must remain open. This autumn,   The University of Manchester China Center set sail against the wind, ushered   in the further expansion of the center scale and the comprehensive upgrade of   teaching facilities, so that the "Online + offline" blended   learning mode can be carried out more smoothly. In the future, we will be   committed to bringing more part-time courses to China, which further benefits   the working professionals in China.

After the ceremony, Ms. Sherry Fu was interviewed by the host and shared her thoughts and vision on the development business schools as well as The University of Manchester China Centre in the post-epidemic era.
