UoM Leading the World on Blended Learning

As a part of China Annual Conference for International Education & Expo, the UK-China Higher Education Workshop – Blended Teaching and Learning was successfully hosted in Beijing on 21 Oct 2021, attracting more than 100 representatives from Chinese and British universities.

The workshop is co-organised by The British Council, Department for International Trade (DIT) and China Education Association of International Exchange (CEAIE), China Ministry of Education (MoE), UK Department for Education (DfE), and the Chinese Embassy in the UK.

Ms. Sherry Fu, Director of UoM China Centre was invited to attend the workshop as the guest speaker of roundtable discussion, to share her insights on Blended Learning with senior government officials and experts from HE institutions from China and the UK.

Sherry mentioned that as a global leading institution in online / blended-learning, The University of Manchester pioneered a blended teaching and learning format more than 20 years ago, providing working professions across the globe with opportunities to participate in higher education. Also, she introduced the comprehensive upgrading of China Centre’s facilities during the pandemic, which enables the students in China to maximise the use of the University’s learning resources, and ensures the top-quality of teaching through world-class digital equipment.
