Ida Fan Ida is a Consultant based in YSC’s Shanghai office, having joined in February 2014. Speaking Mandarin, English and Cantonese, she supports a wide range of clients in talent and leadership assessments, team effectiveness building and internal communication. In her earlier career, Ida worked as a Project Purchasing Manager for the first Four Seasons Hotel in mainland China. In 2005 she moved to Canada where she began her career as a psychotherapist, working for multiple non-profit organisations. She received extensive training in systemic approaches when working with couples, families and groups – covering different ethnicities, ages, genders and socioeconomic classes. Returning to Shanghai in 2010, Ida moved to a healthcare organisation, running an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) delivering counseling and stress management workshops. In her last role, Ida worked in recruiting senior leaders for retail, FMCG, finance, bio-chemistry & logistics. Ida graduated from Fudan University with a BA in International Trade and a Master of Counselling in Marriage and Family from Trinity Western University. Outside of work, Ida enjoys running and writing. To date, she has completed two half-marathon races and written a dozen novels in Chinese. She values all kinds of relationships, loving her family, friends and community, and wants to dedicate her life to make a positive difference in her home country. |
