FinTech is coming into the mainstream from this pandemic as there has really been high demand for digital transformation, while less in personal transactions. What is the core of Financial Technology? And how will FinTech bring tremendous changes to our daily life?

On the evening of 14th April, The University of Manchester China Centre invited Dr. Xiaoming Ding, an Associate Professor of Finance, to bring you with cutting-edge knowledge about AI, Blockchain, Cloud and Data in Finance (ABCD in Finance), which definitely will inspire you about why companies that can take advantage of society’s greater reliance on technology would be best placed to thrive in the economic recovery.

 

During the event, Global MBA alumni with finance sector and  MSc Financial Management current students will also join us to  further discuss about the front trends in FinTech that we've seen intensifying as we head into the new year, and how FinTechs has been exploring new business models to diversify revenue streams.

Dr. DING is an Associate Professor of Finance with substantial experience in the industry and university with positions in the United Kingdom, Hong Kong and Mainland China. He received two master degrees, one in accounting and finance and one in computer science. He also received his doctoral degree in finance. He contributes significantly to the development of the related subject areas.

 

Dr. Ding is also a chartered member of CPA Australia. As a scholar specialized in financial management / corporate finance, he has taught in a number of subject areas of accounting and finance including management accounting, financial modelling, business finance and financial econometrics for over 15 years. In the recent years, he paid special attention to the FinTech application academically and practically.
