Lighting Up for The University's Bicentenary in Shanghai

On 13 January, 2024, the University of Manchester China Centre will illuminate the Citibank Tower, a landmark on Shanghai's Bund, turning the entire building into a signature purple hue against the night sky. This is to celebrate the upcoming bicentenary of the university. As a key part of the university's global illumination project, this ceremony will also mark the start of a year-long series of celebratory events at the 2024 Centre. Alumni in China are welcomed to visit and commemorate the university's 200th anniversary together.
