MBS Global MBA Students Visit Ingersoll Rand
On 9th April, 20 Manchester Business School China Centre Global MBA students, led by Sherry Fu, Director of MBS China Centre, visited one of Ingersoll Rand’s largest in Asia Pacific and most advanced factories in Wujiang District, Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province.

Mr. Yan-yue Chen, PR Manager and Mr. Jacky, Operation Manager of Ingersoll Rand welcomed the visit team and introduced the product line, sales and marketing situation, optimization of process and distribution of each department.

Registered in Wujiang Economic and Technological Development Zone in 2007, Ingersoll Rand (China) Industrial Equipment Manufacturing Co.,Ltd.has the largest factory in Ingersoll Rand Asia-Pacific,  with total investment surpassed 160 million USD and total factory acreage  of 74 thousand square meters.

The team firstly visited exhibition room, got to know the details about the history, milestones, organization structure, culture and development plans of the company. Various products of the company were also presented including fresh-keeping equipment, air compressor systems etc.

After that, the team went to the production area and closely watched office, part choosing area and test area. There are many white board recorded related data and details of production and also the progress of projects. Some students asked some questions about operation and production, which helped students to gain a deeper understanding. Students were amazed by the high efficiency of Ingersoll Rand production and management, many planned to take it as an case to study in the coming MBA course of “Operation Management”.
 
Sherry Fu, Director of Manchester Business School China Centre introduced that Company visit provides a communication platform through which students can get to know different industry,enrich their horizon, and to share experiences with each other. MBS China Centre will continue to actively arrange company visit for Global MBA Students.
