Manchester Global MBA Senior Alumni Masterclass

Negotiations Strategy - Ultimatum Game

You're playing in Las Vegas. A man approaches with a proposition. He offers you $10,000 in 100-dollar bills and says you can keep the money under one condition: You have to share some of it with a stranger. You can offer as much or as little as you like. However, if the stranger rejects your offer, neither of you get to keep any of the money.

What do you do?

This question is an economics experiment that provides some fascinating insight into the human psyche. It's called the ultimatum game.

In the afternoon of 27th March, The University of Manchester China Centre invited Alliance Manchester Business School Global MBA alumnus Mr. Xiaohu (Tiger) Qiao (Doctoral Candidate of DBA programme in Alliance Manchester Business School) to bring you a fantastic negotiation simulation course. He negotiated tremendous business cases with Asia suppliers.  And he holds two negotiation certifications: Negotiating Mastery in HBS and Strategic Negotiator in Yale.

Also, this is an ideal opportunity to speak with our recruitment team and ask questions relevant to applying for our renowned MBA programme.

Manchester Global MBA July 2021 intake is now open for application!
If your full application could be submitted by March 2021, you will get the priority to be awarded a tuition fee reduction.
