Shanghai Jiaotong University has been in long-term partnership with The University of Manchester. Antai School of Economics and Management and Alliance Manchester Business School jointly delivers SJTU-UoM Joint DBA Program, an innovative and rigorous program, not only meets students’ desire for a doctoral degree, but also integrates academic strength at home and abroad in order to develop top entrepreneurs and executives in China with a global outlook.
During the visit, the group scheduled to visit Renmin University of China. Professor Mao, Dean of Renmin Business School warmly welcomed Prof. Fiona Devine. During the meeting the two professors discussed different forms of cooperation in the following years to come.
Another strategic partner, the University of Indiana has also been in close relations with Manchester. Kelley School of Business jointly delivers part-time MBA programme with Alliance Manchester Business School. Kelley is Ranked No.1 for online MBA education in the US while AMBS is the top 30 business school in the world with six centers globally. Together, the schools offer a combined legacy of nearly 150 years of innovation in business and management education. During Prof. Devine’s visit, the group visited University of Indiana’s China Office and discussed aspects of partnership with Mr. Steven Yin, China Representative of the University.
On 8th December, the University of Manchester China Centre hosted its alumni annual dinner in Lujiazui. Prof. Fiona Devine warmly greeted alums at the event. The alumni dinner was highlighted with the award ceremony of the “Big Ben Awards” 2017 in China, where the Manchester MBA programme received the “Golden Mulberry Award” for “The Most Respected MBA Programme”. On behalf of the school Prof. Devine received the award presented by Mr. Christopher Dunn from British Consulate and Mr. JunCheng Li, who established the award.
The University of Manchester China Centre Director Ms. Sherry Fu was personally awarded “Top 10 Overseas Illustrator Award” for her continuous outstanding contribution in Sino-British education and cultural relations. The alumni dinner also witnessed the gathering of Manchester Alums in East China.
