On 13th July, 2013, Graduation Ceremony for Tongji-Manchester Global MBA Programme was held, it is the very first graduation ceremony since the programme launched in 2009. Mr.HuoJiazhen, Dean of the School of Economics and Management, Tongji Univerity, Professor Elaine Ferneley, MBA Director of Manchester Business School, Sherry Fu, MBS China Centre Director presented the ceremony and celebrated this great occasion with faculties, graduates, their families and some friends who are interested in this programme.
Tongji University and the University of Manchester are strategic partners. The Tongji-Manchester Global MBA Programme was launched in 2009. This Program is the effective combination of Chinese characteristic and international insight. With abundant resources and platforms of two universities, we employ cutting-edge teaching methods to share successful management practices and knowledge with students, which pave the way for their future as business elites. Upon successful completion of the program, the students will be awarded double MBA degrees, respectively from Tongji University and the University of Manchester and post-graduate diploma from Tongji University.
The working background of graduated students covers many industries, including energy, mechanics, finance, IT etc. These students have become elites of their industry and after 3 years of MBA learning, they have experienced a leap forward not only in terms of career development, but also their lives.
Excellent graduate representative, Ms. Chen Jiao, General Manager of Optimas Manufacturing Solutions said that she has benefited a lot from this programme in terms of career development and also became friends with lots of classmates who share the similar value of life.
Another graduate, Mr.Weng Peijun, Chief System Manager of Omnicom Media Group said that this programme is not easy at all. During this period of time, he became a father and also busy working every day. In this process of balancing study, family and work, he has experienced a positive transformation and benefit greatly from the MBA programme.
