The University of Manchester has moved up two places to reach its highest ever position in this year's QS World University Rankings. Manchesiter is now listed as the world’s 27th best university, ranking 6th in the UK and 8th in Europe.

Purple Wave in Shanghai
On 16th June, to support The University of Manchester’s sustainable development goal, China Centre and SORSA UoM Alumni Association continued the University’s legendary ‘Purple Wave’ in Shanghai. A charity running activity was held to support charity ‘Dialogue in the Dark’ (China) as part of UoM global alumni volunteering network.

Insight Talk in Brand Incubation
On 3rd June, Ms. Alieen Wei, Senior Global MBA alumna, Co-founder of China Centre Alumni Marketing Club shared her in-depth insights of brand incubation in China based on her pround industrial experience. China Centre alumni and students in marketing industry were quite impressed by her fantastic speech with regards to how to build, develop and position foreign brands in China market and reconsider the brand incubation initiatives for the fast changing business environment.
DBA Alumnus Sharing - AI
On 4th June, China Centre organized a book discussion session by Dr. Srinivas Yanamandra (DBA 2013), Compliance at the New Development Bank (NDB).
Dr. Srinivas Yanamandra shared with more than 20 guests and alumni his understanding and views regarding the book “AI Superpowers,” by Kai-Fu Lee (AI expert, venture capitalist and former president of Google China). Click here for more information

Pre-induction Networking
On 14th and 15th June, 2019, in order to welcome the arrival of our Manchester Global MBA July 2019 new students, the University of Manchester China Center organized a networking event, which helps them to settle in the new big family before they embark on the new journey.
China Centre Director Ms. Sherry Fu welcomed new students to join the university. Student Support Team also met new students to share the advice for them to get well-prepared for the coming MBA journey. Senior Global MBA alumni and China Alumni Club were also invited to the networking event, who shared valuable experience and learning journey.

Graduation

Students who join the Manchester Global MBA programme can choose to attend the graduation ceremony on campus in Manchester for an unforgettable life experience. As a university which possesses the largest campus, the summer graduation is going to last 12 days from 8th July to 19th July. The graduation ceremony for Manchester Global MBA students is scheduled to take place on the last day of the graduation season.
