Promoting Cross-border Business Education
The University of Manchester China Centre was established in 2008, originally responsible for bringing Manchester Business Schools blended learning courses to China. It officially reopened as The University Manchester China Centre on 25th September 2016 by President and Vice-Chancellor of the University Prof. Dame Nancy Rothwell.
China Centre Director Ms. Sherry Fu was the founding Director of the Centre in 2008. At the Best Education of China Awards, Sherry was awarded as “Leader in Business Education”. It is her firm belief that “education is meant to focus on the future”. She has been actively involved in Social Responsibility activities. During the past year, Sherry was invited as public speaker to Shanghai, Suzhou, Hangzhou, Beijing, Sanya, Inner-Mongolia to share her experience in bringing overseas education to China.
In April 2017, as the co-author of “Future Vision Dairy”, she shared her personal journey in the establishment and growth of the University of Manchester China Centre. Expressly, Sherry aspires to explore into future possibilities of education with thought leaders and visionary figures.
Recognized as Outstanding Business School by Tencent Education
Just one day after Best Education of China Awards, on 13th December 2017, Alliance Manchester Business School received “Most Valued Business School 2017 award” from Tencent Education. Sherry was personally awarded “Annual Leading Figure in Business Education”
It is the fifth consecutive year that Manchester MBA programme was awarded by Tencent Education, where the nominated institutions are voted via Weibo, blogs and other online platforms, using criteria such as size of the class, student profiles, faculty, and increment of salaries after graduation. Ms. Sherry Fu was also invited to join the panel discussion for her view on Chinese business education, “We pride ourselves in our global coverage and practicality. Our students are in contact with the most up-to-date business scenario from day one while being taught by our Manchester faculty in several international locations.”
The University of Manchester China Centre was established in 2008, originally responsible for bringing Manchester Business Schools blended learning courses to China. Courses accessible include Part-time MBA Programmes, and collaborative programs with Shanghai Tong Ji University and Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
