On the 28th of April, MBS China Centre organised an information session at Shanghai Centre. Mr Nigel Banister (Chief Global Officer of MBS), Sherry Fu ( MBS China Director) and Sophie Song (MBS intake 2013) presented the event.



Firstly, Mr. Nigel Banister gave the audience an introduction on Manchester Business School. Compared with U.S. business schools, European business schools are more diversified, international and focus more on interaction between students and teachers. As part of the glorious University of Manchester which embedded 25 Nobel Prize winners, Manchester Business School is one of the first business schools in U.K. to provide MBA education and now is the largest campus based business school in U.K. Triple accreditations by AMBA, EQUIS and AACSB are concrete proof of MBS’ excellence in academics, teaching and cultivation of leaders al around the world.

After Mr. Nigel Banister’s introduction, Sophia shared her unique experience to the audience. She currently worked in DBS as new relationship manager. What Sophia found useful is that with the networks of MBS and the practical structure of MBA, her vision and career path became clearer and clearer. Moreover, Sophia were preparing CFA, she found that the Finance courses of MBA helped her a lot in passing the certificate. The participants found the “first hand” information was very useful.

Apart from the academic experiences, Sophia also shared a lot of students’ activities including professional clubs, outdoor events, etc. The life in MBS is very diversified, the applicants found that they can gain various experiences through the study in MBS.
