UoM China Centre Won The Best Education of China Award

On 13th January, 2021, the 9th Best Education of China Award Ceremony with the theme of "Reconstructing the Educational Ecology and Drawing a Blueprint for the Future" was held in Beijing. This ceremony was hosted by China Internet News Center (China Net), where hundreds of educational institutions compete to participate,leading educators in China were invited to the ceremony including Zhang Tianbao, former Vice Minister of Educationformer Education, Zhang Li, former Director of Development Research Center of the Ministry of Education, Wang Wenzhan , former National Inspector-General of Ministry of Education, former Director of the Department of Basic Education, Wang Xiaohui, Editor in Chief of China Internet News Center.

The 1st Award in 2021

As a model for the development of overseas higher educational institutions in China, The University of Manchester (UoM) China Center has again been recognized by the Chinese education community and won "The Influential Business School of the Year" award, which is also the first honor that the UoM China Center received in 2021. Ms. Sherry Fu, Founding Director of The University of Manchester China Centre has been awarded as “The Influential Figure of China Education”.

"The Best Education of China Award Ceremony" is an annual ceremony held by China Net in the education industry. It actively broadcasts positive educational concepts and teaching models for educators. It is an important window for disseminating educational stories and the most authoritative ceremony in the education industry.

This year’s ceremony brings together experts and scholars in the education sector, industry leaders, professional research institutions, educational media, etc. to share the gains and losses of the education industry under the pandemic, exchange opportunities and challenges in the education industry in the post- pandemic era, and commend those advanced institution and individual that bucked the trend and stood upright during this special year of 2020.Facing the challenges in the education industry under the epidemic, UoM China Center actively explored innovative teaching models in China and handed in a gratifying answer. In the autumn of 2020, UoM China Center ushered in a further increase in the scale of the center with expansion and comprehensive upgrade of learning facilities, incorporating more cutting-edge technology elements, realizing real-time interaction between online learning in the UK and offline workshops in Shanghai.


Moreover, China Center is actively introducing more online courses. Except to the Manchester Global MBA programme, it has now launched a series of part-time, online / blended-learning master courses including MSc Financial Management, MSc International Fashion Marketing, and MA International Education Leadership in Practice. The cutting-edge online learning platform, combined with more than 20 years of part-time education experience, constitutes a global higher education network, so as to further promote the concept of lifelong learning in China.
