On 21st Feb., MBS China Centre hosted a Panel Discussion focusing on “Why MBA”. Five high-profile executive coaches and experts were invited to share their insights into the latest trends around the globe and in China: study an MBA.

Mr. Yimin Wang, Founder and Executive Coach of Sense Consulting, Mr. Stephen Chen, CEO of SECA Academy & Network Coach of Sense Consulting, Ms. Terry Li, Director of Strategic Planning & Operation of Analog Device & Network Coach of Sense Consulting, Linda Wang, Director of Horton Executive Search and Ms. Sherry Fu, Director of Manchester Business School China Centre all attended the Panel Discussion as panelists.

The event sought to answer the question of not just why working professionals need an MBA, but also how MBA helps them to enhance their career progression. All the panelist commented on the theme identified and managed to develop a “road forward” by illustrating their own MBA experience and career ladder.

As one of the panelists, Ms. Sherry Fu, Director of MBS China Centre also shared the attendees with MBS Part-time Global MBA Programme’s strength of high global recognition and study flexibility as well as the value of ‘Original Thinking Applied’.

The panel also took questions from the floor on the issues raised during the debate and their own experience; all moderated by Mr. Yimin Wang, founder and Executive Coach of Sense Consulting.

The topic attracted around 40 attendees from different professional backgrounds. This was an excellent opportunity for potential candidates to better understand how to develop personal experiences, systematical knowledge and practices through an MBA.

On 16th March, 2013, another “Why MBA” was organized, Yimin Wang, together with Jenny Li,Managing director of Marley Engineered Product and Weil-Mclain China, Tony Wang, BU Head, Siegwerk & Sense Consulting network career mentor, Yinyin Shu (Sharon), Senior HR Manager, Johnson & Johnson China Ltd Co.& Sense Consulting network career mentor and Sherry Fu, Director of MBS China Centre presented the discussion.
