Manchester Global MBA Afternoon Tea Session in Wuxi

 

On Saturday 11th August, a British-styled afternoon tea session was hosted in Wuxi by the University of Manchester Global MBA candidates and alumni. China Centre Marketing Team and China Centre Director Ms. Sherry Fu presented at the session to introduce Global MBA and the University’s worldwide programmes to prospective students from AstraZeneca, Bosch, Caterpillar and other companies in Wuxi.

 

Ms. Sherry Fu took the opportunity to share the highlights the programme. Being a Manchester alumna herself she shared some of her personal experience while interacting with the candidates.

 

Followed the programme introduction delivered by the recruitment team, Ms. Ying Zhao, leading expert in the MBA market was invited to give an industry overview to the audience, with a selection of individual case studies for the candidates to refer to.

 

Some Global MBA alumni and current students based in Wuxi joined the session and shared learning experience with attendance. Zhiqiang Shao from July 2015 intake, Michi Huang from July 2010 intake Project Pathway and Dingcheng Zhou from Jan 2018 intake Finance Accelerated Pathway jointly shared their experience. In addition to finding out about Manchester’s programme offerings and hear about study experience from Alumni, it was also a great opportunity to meet like-minded professionals.

The University of Manchester China Centre marketing staff also took the opportunity to visit some Wuxi Companies to explore the regional education and talent market. A good news was shared that nearly 60 students from Wuxi passed first round of joint interview to Manchester-Tongji MBA programme 2019 July intake.
