【Postponed】University of Manchester China Centre Alumni Law Club Event

On 16th Feb. (Sunday) 2020, the University of Manchester China Centre Law Club is delighted to have its alumnus Mr. George Ge to share the topic of [How to deal with redundancy, for both employers and employees].

Having career in first-tier cities like Shanghai, either in the capacity of an entrepreneur or an employee, you must have come across Chinese labor law matters, haven’t you? A lot among us have. Some of them have even been confronted with dismissal by the employers, especially when economies are going south, like in 2008/2009, or these days. Such big-scale of dismissal, aka (unofficially) redundancy, are what we target in this sharing event.

The main contents of this sharing event are as follows:

1. Dismissal under the labor law

2. Employer: how to enforce a lawful termination

3. Employee: how to cope with a termination

4. Q&A

Date:16th Feb (Sunday) 2020(we are sorry to cancel upcoming alumni event!)

Time: 10:00-12:00

Venue: UoM China Centre (Suite 604, Shanghai Center, No.1376, West Nanjing Rd., Shanghai)
