Director's Message

When the Chinese New Year is approaching, we will somehow get nostalgic. Regardless of whether the previous year was beautiful or not, a New Year is always the hope of a new phase of life!
2020 was an unforgettable year of uncertainty, but what we can firmly believe is The University of Manchester’s current rankings place us among the world’s best universities. Before we usher the beginning of 2021, two pieces of powerful ranking news: Alliance Manchester Business School MBA ranked 4th in the UK and 30th globally by Financial Times, and The University of Manchester ranked 23rd most international universities, which absolutely filled our students, alumni, professors and staffs with enthusiasm. Also, UoM China Centre has again been recognized by the Chinese education community and won The Best Education of China Award. The welcome event for our Global MBA January 2021 intake was successfully held at our brand new site, which made me extremely proud of our MBAs, especially those courageous and future-looking leaders committed to studying even when challenges seem significant in the pandemic. We are also very much looking forward to welcoming our first Asia cohort of MSc International Fashion Marketing programme and MA Educational Leadership in Practice programme in this February.
The University of Manchester China Centre wishes you and your family all the blessings in the Year of the OX, and may the New Year of 2021 bring you with warmth, love and light to guide your path to a positive destination!
