Manchester Global MBA Masterclass: Responsibility in Game Design
This event provides insight into part-time MBA study at Alliance Manchester Business School through an immersive classroom experience.
Do algorithms have a conscious? Is there an ethical dimension to algorithmic behaviour?
Building on a series of anecdotes and designs from behavioural economics, our objective in this Masterclass is to design a game within the ethical boundary. Algorithms analyse our daily lives; as humans we live in a cyber world with machine learning bias. To become better, algorithms have to become ethically responsible, and we ask: can we design a game wherein algorithms are responsible?
On the evening of 9th October, The University of Manchester China Centre is very delighted to host a Masterclass delivered by Patrick McNutt from Alliance Manchester Business School about the responsibility in game design. During the session, by using example and anecdotes, Patrick will apply Kantian ethics to business in designing a responsible platform with a winning strategy.
You are very welcomed to join the Masterclass at the University of Manchester China Centre, which is an ideal opportunity to experience the MBA in action, and discuss the phenomenon of responsible ethics and the essence of ‘responsible’ data.
