Female Work-life balance advice and Professional life-style tips for Child-bearing Age Women
- Manchester Global MBA Afternoon Tea Session for the Ladies
This year we welcome the 108th International Women's Day. This day has been made special by celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women, as we pay tribute to the female power shaping our society today. Being one of the top MBA education provider in the UK and globally, including in Shanghai, Hong Kong, Singapore, Dubai and Brazil, we pride ourselves in the number and calibre of our female MBA candidates on Manchester Global MBA.
On 8th March in The University of Manchester Centre, we wish to host a ladies-only Afternoon tea session to celebrate this day with the aspiring group of ladies from our alumni, students and prospective students.
We have invited Ms. Flora Wang(Global MBA Jan 2017), Sr. VP at JLL and mother of 2, to share her story of career woman taking a leadership role in a an global enterprise. The talk will surround how Flora balance her duties as a loving mother as well as making major career progress and being a student on a challenging MBA programme.
Also joining us is Dr. Aoni Xie from SinoUnited Health. Coming from a professional background, Dr. Xie will give advice on "How women of child-bearing age should exercise and eat before and during pregnancy." We wish to share those tips with the attending ladies and mothers-to-be.

Speaker: Flora Wang, Senior Vice President in Global Capital Market, JLL
Flora has 16 years experience in property and Real Estate industry. She has previously worked with Colliers International and CBRE before joining JLL. After years of hard work, Flora progressed to a leadership role quickly. In 2016, Flora took responsibility in exploring new business in China. One year later, Flora was promoted to Senior Vice President in Global Capital Market at JLL. In Jan 2017, she made the decision to challenge herself with the pursuit of Manchester Global MBA in Shanghai.
Speaker: Aoni Xie, Physiotherapist, SinoUnited Health
Before joining Sino-United Health, Aoni previously worked as the managing physiotherapist at The Whittington Hospital in London, as well as the senior physiotherapist at Calvary Hospital in Sydney. She is registered with the board of AHPRA in Australia and HCPC in the UK. She is also a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and the Australian Physiotherapy Association.
During her time in London, Aoni was in charge of training junior physiotherapists and providing hospital-wide occupational health. Delegated by NHS, she also worked and trained alongside renowned physiotherapists across EU. Aoni specialises in whole system approach to specifically diagnose the root cause of injuries and pain. Through targeted training and management, she is passionate about injury prevention, fixing the core problem to prevent re-injury and to minimise long-term side effects.
