MSc International Fashion Marketing Insight Session The changing landscape of the fashion industry
In 2020, due to the outbreak of COVID-19 and the melting of the poles, the global economy is devastated. Almost all industries are seeking a breakthrough in survival and the fashion industry is not an exception.
In this VUCA world, the agility of marketers can undoubtedly bring more development opportunities to the retailers. How does the external environment affect consumer behaviour? How should retailers deal with the changing landscape of fashion industry?
On 21st May, MSc International Fashion Marketing Course Leader Dr. Patsy Perry, will discuss the changing landscape of the fashion industry and the consumer mindset, highlighting the way retailers are adapting and becoming more agile in the way they market their brands. Patsy will also provide an overview of MSc in International Fashion Marketing (Blended-Learning) here at the University of Manchester.

Speaker: Dr. Patsy Perry, Course Leader in MSc International Fashion Marketing
Dr. Patsy Perry is Senior Lecturer in Fashion Marketing in the School of Materials and teaches on a number of units on the fashion business programmes relating to fashion marketing, e-commerce, supply chain management and sustainability. She has nearly 10 years research experience in fashion industry. Her expertise includes the environmental and social impacts of fashion and her work has been published in academic journals and books. She has appeared on BBC Breakfast, BBC Radio 4, BBC Radio 2, BBC Radio 5 Live, BBC Newsbeat, and been featured in The Telegraph, The Independent and The Observer amongst others.
